Globetrotting Poker was originally founded as a facebook group geared towards poker players who travel the world to play poker. Globetrotting Poker focuses on poker series, events and destinations around the globe. Globetrotting Poker also provides travel tips for poker destinations. In 2023, Globetrotting Poker hosted off-felt activities during the Malta Poker Festival.
“Globetrotting Poker Ladies” was founded in July 2016 on facebook as a central point of information for Womens Only Poker events being hosted around the around. It was renamed to Globetrotting Poker Women in November 2022. When the 2020 pandemic hit, many guys wanted the information provided to the women in the “Globetrotting Poker Ladies” group and the brand was extended to include all players.

About Founder
Maureen Blöchlinger is a poker player, former poker dealer, and a poker promoter based in Zurich Switzerland.
As an advocate for Women in Poker she helped to introduce the first Swiss Ladies Championship in Switzerland besides other, more international, initiatives. She also runs the Globetrotting Poker Women Facebook group which focuses on poker outside of the United States.
She has worked for buy-in.info the leading poker website in the German speaking area of Switzerland. She served as Vice President and player representative of the Swiss Poker Association (SPOV) and is a former board member of the Herzdamen Club.
In April 2022, Maureen was host of the Ladies First! during the Malta Poker Festival. In October 2023, Globetrotting Poker hosted 2 off felt activities during the Malta Poker Festival. GP strives to combine poker with cultural activities.
