The Autumn edition of the Malta Poker Festival kicks off on October 28th and runs through November 4th at the Portomaso Casino and the Hilton. The schedule’s highlight is the 500,000 EUR Guaranteed Grand Event and numerous side events to satisfy poker player’s wishes for time on the felt. In addition to poker, the Malta Poker Festival offers a range of off-felt activities for players, complementing the poker schedule. This year, Ivonne Montealegre, Founder and Event of the MPF asked Globetrotting Poker to host the off-felt activities and we happily accepted her invitation.

Here is the breakdown of off-felt activities this Autumn.

Thursday, October 31st

The activities begin on Thursday, October 31st during the MPF Halloween Special Edition Tournament hosted by Natalie Bromley. The Buy-In includes a 10EUR donation to the Hearts of Queens Charity and a 2025 MPF Spring Package is added to the prize pool. Players are encouraged to dress in costume and during the tournament break, costumes will be judged by a panel and the player wearing the best costume will win the 2025 MPF Spring Package.

From 11pm onwards, players can join the Halloween Party at Club Level 22, located in the Portomaso Business Tower, to continue celebrating Halloween.

Friday, November 1st

On Friday, MPF has chartered their own Hop-On, Hop-Off bus leaving at 10am from the Hilton. Players can listen to the multilingual audio tour guide as we drive to the capital, Valletta. Players will have time to explore Valletta on their own. My suggestions for Valletta include:

Visting St. John’s Co- Cathedral
Visting the Upper and lower Barrakka Gardens
Watching the Saluting Battery (firing time at 12.00 & 16.00 hrs)
Walking through the narrow streets
Shopping

The bus will return around 12.45pm to the Hilton enabling players to play MPF Grand Event Day 1E at 1pm or the LuxonPay Mystery Bounty at 3pm. The cost of this activity is 20EUR per player and tickets can be booked on the Main Event Travel website.

At 11pm, the All In Players Party starts at Club Level 22 which has some of the best views of Malta. The party is free for all package holders. Players can also ask the MPF friendly floor models for a bracelet to attend the party.

Saturday, November 2nd

All female players are welcome to join us at The Avenue Restaurant for a Meet and Greet with Poker Stars Ambadassor Kerryjane Craigie. Players should RSVP at support@thepokerfestival.com to secure their spot. At 2pm, KerryJane hosts the Ladies First! Tournament which has a 10K EUR Guarantee and an added package to the Women’s Winter Festival taking place this November at the Hippodrome Casino in London, England.

Sunday, November 3rd

My favorite activity is the Catamaran, which leaves at 10am from the Hilton. This is a private-chartered Catamaran just for MPF players and friends. We will head to St. Paul’s Bay where we will have one hour to swim in the sea and relax, so don’t forget your swimsuits and towels. Players are welcomed to bring their own food and drinks on board. The cost is 70EUR per person and seats should be booked on the Main Event Travel Website as this will for sure sell out!
