The SiGMA Poker Tour - A Player’s View
As an avid poker player, I was excited to hear about Ivonne Montealegre’s new project, the SiGMA Poker Tour launching in São Paulo, Brazil this April. I had heard poker room managers and industry professionals attending SiGMA expos before and the value these had for networking and attracting international and diverse professionals. Players can now tap into this same network, by playing the SiGMA Poker Tour. I have never been to South America, so I am looking forward to my trip to São Paulo.
As most already know, I sit in 11th place on the Hendon Mob’s Flaghunter Leaderboard and would love to add Brazil to that list. The SiGMA Poker Tour also includes the first Hendon Mob Championship in Latin America.

Playing poker, flag hunting and experiencing Brazil are my personal motivations to play the SiGMA Poker Tour. I know that playing abroad in a country where I have never travelled to before, would be easier knowing that I have contact to others and access to the conferences and some events. English speaking support is also important for me. Although I do like traveling solo, it is also nice to have an opportunity to meet with others.
The SIGMA Poker Tour offers two ways to participate, buying a $2,200 VIP Package or a $770 ticket. Unlike other poker tournaments, when you purchase a ticket or VIP package in advance, you receive many perks and benefits.
Buying your $770 ticket online gives players access to the BiS SiGMA Celebration and complimentary entry to the BiS SiGMA Conference as well as 24/7 Unlimited Open Bar Buffet during the event at the Monte Carlo Poker Club.
For players who want to be more involved and would like to stay at the hotel with other players and delegates, then the VIP Package is the better choice as it also offers access to Greet and Meet the SiGMA Poker Tour Ambassadors.

The SiGMA Poker Tour has three Ambassadors on board, Liverpool Football Legend, John Arne Riise, Norwegian Poker Champion Drea Karlsen and Lukas Robinson (known as Robin Poker).
I spoke with Lukas Robinson and he said that he is super excited for the SiGMA Poker Tour. “The 1st event is in Brazil, which is a place I have always dreamed of visiting and playing poker in. The Brazilians are no doubt the funnest yet hardest poker players to play against. So I am looking forward to having some fun, playing some cards and seeing what this amazing country has to offer.”
The upcoming event in April 2025 promises an immersive experience that blends the innovative spirit of the SiGMA Americas with the high-stakes excitement of the SiGMA Poker Tour. Spanning from April 7 to April 14, the schedule is segmented into three dynamic phases that seamlessly overlap for an unforgettable experience.
