SiGMA Poker Tour Kicks Off In Brazil This April

SiGMA’s World Tour and Summits, known for bringing all gaming stakeholders together and hosting over 1,200 exhibitors and 80,000 industry delegates across 7 summits and 30 side events make them the “undisputed heavyweight events and media business in gaming”. The seven summit series kicks-off in Dubai February 23- 25 and then travels to Cape Town (South Africa), São Paulo (Brazil), Manila (Philippines), Valletta (Malta), Rome (Italy) and rounding out the year in Sri Lanka (Colombo).

The SiGMA Summits are celebrating their 10th anniversary this November and for this landmark Anniversary Sigma has announced new SiGMA Poker Tour with stops in São Paulo, Brazil and Valletta, Malta. Ivonne Montealegre, SiGMA Poker Tour Manager announced the launch of this tour. She explained that the SiGMA Poker Tour plugs into the existing SiGMA programs to ensure networking opportunities, parties, off-felt activities and, of course, poker.

SiGMA Poker Tour Brazil will take place from 09 -14 April aligning with SIGMA Americas running from 07 -10 April. SiGMA Poker Tour Malta will take place in autumn from 03 -07 September in Valetta during the SiGMA EURO-MED.

The SiGMA Poker Tour has aligned with the SiGMA Foundation to make meaniugful impact in the local communities. For both the São Paulo and Valletta stops a percentage of each poker tournament buy-in will be donated to support local SiGMA Foundation projects. In addition to the charity component, the SiGMA Poker Tour will host multiple tournaments each day, play in exciting venues and are expecting 700 players at each stop.

The Hendon Mob has listed Monte Carlo Poker Club as the venue for the SiGMA Poker Tour Brazil. The full schedule is still pending but Roland Boothby, Head of Partnerships at GPI/The Hendon Mob has announced that the Hendon Mob Championship will head to Brazil hosting their first poker tournament in LATAM during the SiGMA Poker tour.

There will be several pathways to participate in the SiGMA Poker tour Brazil, including online satellites and winning your spot through mini tournaments and also direct tickets to the events. Seasoned players and newcomers are welcome to register their interest by email to secure a spot.

Sao Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, is a major global hub for culture, business and gastronomy. Key tourist attractions include: Avenida Paulista, São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) and Liberdade. From the United States there are non-stops flights from Miami, New York (JFK), Dallas, Atlanta and Houston to São Paulo. From Europe, players can fly directly from Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Madrid and Rome.
